John Murtough explained the reason why Manchester United signed Christian Eriksen in the transfer market this summer. Manchester United confirmed on Friday (15/7/2022) that they had secured the signature of Danish midfielder Christian Eriksen.
The Red Devils, nicknamed Manchester United, do not need to spend a dime to transfer Eriksen because Eriksen’s contract with Brentford expires on June 30, 2022. That is, the 30-year-old midfielder came to Man United on a free transfer. In the team’s official release, Man United tied Eriksen to a three-year contract, meaning the midfielder will be at Old Trafford until 2025.

Prior to ing Man United, Eriksen had played for another Premier League club, Brentford, in the 2021-2022 season. He ed the club called The Bees in the second half. Noted, Eriksen scored one goal and four assists in 11 appearances with the club nicknamed The Bees. Meanwhile, for the whole, Eriksen has so far packed 52 goals and 71 assists in 237 appearances in the Premier League.
