“It’s not easy to face a Grand Slam champion in the first round, so we have to be ready for everything.”

“They are experienced players, so there is no time to take part in this tournament. I am happy to be able to do it today,” said the 23-year-old Polish tennis player.

Swiatek is 18-0 in first round matches at majors and has amassed 72 Grand Slam singles wins, the most of any woman. He also won five straight matches against former major champions. b6065

In the first round match at Wimbledon this time, Kenin did not have too strong a weapon, and Swiatek was able to measure the speed on the grass court and adjust to the match.

For the match, Iga Swiatek scored three breaks of serve, the critical one occurring in the seventh game of the second set. Serving, he won 41 of 57 points and served six aces.

This is an encouraging start for Swiatek. His win-loss record on grass improved to 14-7 — and 10-4 at Wimbledon.

She could become the youngest tennis player after Serena Williams (2002) to win Roland Garros and Wimbledon in the same season, and the first to win back-to-back Slams since Serena in 2015.
