Cloud9 down to two players after No[o]ne leaves the team 4x393d

Cloud9 are bound for a major overhaul of their roster if they want to stay in the Dota 2 space for the 2024-2025 competitive season.
Once one of the strongest North American Dota 2 teams, Cloud9 had a tumultuous relationship with Dota 2. The organisation stepped away from the game a couple of times before returning this year by acquiring the Entity roster just ahead of The International 2024 (TI13). C9’s comeback was made after a four-year hiatus and brought them an honourable top 6 placement at the pinnacle Dota 2 tournament.

However, the post TI shuffle didn’t spare them from roster changes. In the event’s aftermath, two of their players left to other teams. Position 4 Vladislav “Kataomi`” Semenov was the first to depart from C9 to BetBoom Team. A week after Kataomi’s departure, Alimzhan “watson” Islambekov, the team’s carry was recruited by Gaimin Gladiators and a week after that C9’s mid laner, Volodymyr “No[o]ne-” Minenko has also made his exit.

“Today, we say goodbye to No[o]ne, who once said he was trying to ‘[hide] from the world in video games,’ but instead, he showed the world his immense talent and dedication,” posted Cloud9 on their social media pages while thanking the player for his time with the team.

What’s next on the Dota 2 calendar?
No[o]ne is already set to compete at DreamLeague Season 24 which is starting at the end of the month. He qualified for the $1,000,000 tournament with the BandaNoon stack via Easter European brackets. However, his former team, C9 won’t be participating there nor at the BetBoom Dacha Belgrade 2024 that starts on the 19th of the month.

A new qualifier leg is due to unfold soon and a couple of LAN tournaments are set to take place between now and the end of the year.

Next month, BLAST will be hosting another 1M dollars tourney in Copenhagen, Denmark with 10 invited teams that are yet to be announced. Meanwhile ESL One is heading to Thailand in December for ESL One Bangkok 2024, which will feature a total of 12 teams.
