Joan Mir on Sunday crashed with his Honda bike during the race in Assen.

The Spaniard itted that he desires to be better and achieve better results, even if it means having accidents.

He has been facing challenges with the Honda RC213V, which has persistent flaws and weaknesses that he has been trying to compensate for.

Mir mentioned that he was following other riders during the race and moved away from their pursuers.

“We are going fast but the others have improved a lot, it’s unbelievable,” Mir said

“How our rivals accelerate out of the corners makes me feel angry. What I could do also is slow a bit down a few seconds and finish 40 seconds away from the winner. But this is not what I want.” Mir added.

In his pursuit of better performance, Mir remains optimistic and determined.

He believes that the improvements made to the Honda bike will contribute to his success in future races.

“As a rider I always want more, I want to try, and if this means going to the ground, one day maybe I don’t go to the ground and I’m in front.” Mir said.

Mir has openly itted that the recent crashes he has experienced were primarily due to issues with the throttle on his Honda bike.

This acknowledgment suggests that there might be something happening with the bike itself that is contributing to these incidents.

“Honestly, the last crashes I had were mostly with throttle. So, there is something happening on our bike.” Mir said.

“Normally when you start to open the throttle, you transfer the weight onto the rear and you shouldn’t really crash there. The typical crash is when you release the front brake.

“But in my case most of them are with throttle. So, we have to analyse this because the bike in that moment is quite critical.” he added.
