Los Angeles Lakers superstar LeBron James needed to leave the fourth quarter because he sustained a groyne injury.
His injury took place during the Lakers basketball match against Boston Celtics where they lost 111-101 on Saturday night.
James has finished the game with 22 points as his final tally. During his comeback surge in the final quarter James suffered the injury despite Celtics building up a 22-point lead.
James faced his last injury with the Lakers that required a separate MRI in 2018 during the 2018/19 season.
He tore his groyne muscle during the Christmas match resulting in his absence from 17 additional games with the Los Angeles team.
“Not much concern. Obviously, I’m day-to-day. I’ll look at it each day and see if it gets better, and take the proper measures to see what I need to do moving forward.” James said.
James is expected to make all NBA games while travelling with his Lakers teammates although he sustained an injury.
As the team undergoes a challenging period the 40-year-old forward intends to travel with his fellow players for game .
The lengthy stretch of six matches in eight days ahead involves two meetings with the Denver Nuggets and a single encounter with the Milwaukee Bucks for the Lakers.
James has established himself as a leading player during the current season with the Los Angeles Lakers.
