Lille have a good chance to stop Paris Saint-Germain’s domination for the Ligue 1 champions. Following are Lille’s requirements to win the French League.

Lille currently leads the standings with a value of 80 points, one point ahead of Paris Saint-Germain in second place.

AS Monaco, who collected 77 points, also still have the chance to win the French League this season.

Lille will face Angers in the last match, PSG meet Brest, while Monaco face Lens. If the points were the same between Ligue 1 teams, the goal difference would be decisive.

Following are the conditions for Lille, PSG and AS Monaco to win this Ligue 1 season:

1. Lille will win Ligue 1 if:

Win over Angers
Draw against Angers and PSG failed to win against Brest
Losing to Angers and at the same time PSG losing to Brest and Monaco failing to win to Lens
Losing to Angers, at the same time PSG losing to Brest, and Monaco winning over Lens. However, on the condition that Monaco does not succeed in winning the goal difference. Currently Lille +40 while Monaco +34.

2. PSG will win Ligue 1 if:

Wins over Brest and Lille fails to win against Angers
Draw against Brest but Lille lose to Angers and Monaco fail to win against Lens. This result will make PSG superior on goal difference over Lille when the two teams have 80 points.
Draw against Brest, Lille lose to Angers and Monaco win against Lens. The three teams will have a collection of 80 points and PSG will win on the condition that Monaco is unable to outperform them on goal difference. Currently PSG’s goal difference is +56 while Monaco is +34. Thus, PSG will remain champions from Monaco not winning by 23 goals difference.

3. Monaco will win Ligue 1 if:

Won over Lens when Lille and PSG lost to their opponents. However, this must be accompanied by the condition that they are able to excel on goal difference over Lille because the two teams will both have a value of 80 points.

Currently Lille has a goal difference of +40 while Monaco has a goal difference of +34. For example, Monaco would win if they won 4-0 and at the same time Lille lost 0-3. Because then Monaco’s goal difference changes to +38 while Lille becomes +37.
