Marc Marquez itted that there was a luck factor that made him and Alex Marquez go home with points in hand from the British MotoGP.
Alex Marquez had an accident on the first lap followed by Marc Marquez on the next lap. However, the red flag was waved so that the race started from the beginning. Because three laps had not been fulfilled, the ongoing race was considered canceled and started with a new race. All racers have the right to re the race from the start, including the Marquez brothers who had fallen.
“Today, the Marquez family is the luckiest family.”
“We made a mistake in the first race before the red flag. I was quite angry. Because I felt good when riding the bike,” said Marc Marquez.
Marc Marquez said he did make a mistake when he fell at Silverstone. But the accident was different from the moments when he made mistakes in Austin and Jerez.
“This time it was a completely different mistake. This time it was very windy. I didn’t do anything strange. Maybe I didn’t consider the wind.
“I also crashed on Friday with the medium tyre on the front and I didn’t have the best feeling on the bike, but I also didn’t consider the soft tyre on the front because of my riding style,” said Marquez.
Marc Marquez finished in third place when the race was restarted. Meanwhile, Alex Marquez finished in fifth place. Another good thing for Marquez is that Pecco Bagnaia failed to finish so the points gap widened.
Marc Marquez is currently at the top of the standings with 192 points. He is 20 points ahead of Alex Marquez who is in second place. Meanwhile, Pecco Bagnaia is in third place with 124 points.
In addition, Yamaha racer Fabio Quartararo, cried on the side of the track because he failed to finish after leading the 2025 British MotoGP. The Ride Height Device problem was the reason Quartararo failed to finish.
